Registry reviews close after 14 days, decision reasons are your own, phones keep their country code, owners book clinics on your website, litters are named for you, and workflows tick their own steps and start themselves.

Feature requests

  • A registry flag's review now closes 14 days after it is filed: the votes cast decide it then, a tie not corroborated, and with no votes it expires and the rescue that filed it can ask again. Rescues yet to vote are reminded a week before.
  • The reasons for approving and denying an application are now your own, under Settings, Decision reasons: a list for each, each offered on every kind of application or one. Good reasons come built in, and an application keeps the words it was decided with.
  • Owners can book a clinic day on your website: open the day for online booking and it is on your site's Clinics page with its services and places left. The booking is made when they confirm their email, and they can cancel it from the next one.
  • Choose who hears about each form: team roles and people get a notice and an email when a submission arrives, with the answers if you want them, and people you choose are assigned it. A workflow step can tell your team too.
  • Year-end summaries for every donor at once: pick a year under Fundraising to print them all, or email them all to the addresses on file. Donors with a gift whose value received is not recorded come first, so you can fix them before anything goes out.
  • Foster and surrender agreements can be signed in person: Foster agreement on a placement on the foster home page, and Surrender agreement on an owner surrender under How they arrived, filled in for the carer or the owner.
  • Behavior observations: log how an animal seemed and what it did from the Quick log, Rounds or the kennel page, or as a volunteer on a shift. Needs a look puts it in the Inbox for the behavior team, and the new Behavior tab lists them.
  • Behavior incidents: record when and where, what set it off, what the animal did and how severe it was. Each waits for a review in the Inbox, a severe one first. An incident is never edited: a correction is kept beside it. An observation that needs a look becomes one in a click.

Enhancements

  • Choosing a decision reason now ticks or unticks the email and the portal invitation, and starts the message from your template, as you set each reason. Approving uses your Application approved template, and fosters and volunteers are approved in their own words, to their own portal.
  • A submission still waiting says why on its card and its page: no email came with it, it is spam, or nobody was asked to confirm it, beside the confirmation it may be waiting for. Submissions also says what it is for.
  • Litters are named for you, such as Daisy's (A000001) litter, born 04/26/2026, or Kittens born 04/26/2026 when the mother is unknown. On Quick add, Save and add a littermate puts the first one in a new litter and each one after it joins, with their mother chosen once.
  • A workflow step can tick itself: give it a Done when, such as a microchip on file, a photo or the application decided, and it is ticked when the run starts or whenever the record is saved. The standard intake and application checklists come with theirs.
  • The standard workflows start themselves: Taking an animal in on every new animal and Starting a new volunteer when one is approved. Three more are offered: Thanking a gift, A new foster placement and A surrender request arrives.
  • A workflow step can name who does it: a team role, such as adoption counselors, or one person. When the workflow starts, its task goes to them and they get a notice and an email. A task for a role is theirs until one of them takes it.
  • Confirming a foster placement now updates the animal: Available becomes Foster - Available, Hold - Medical becomes Foster - Medical, and its kennel or room is let go. Choose what each status becomes in foster under Statuses.
  • Thank a gift from the Inbox: Thank opens an email to the donor with your thank-you template filled in, and the gift leaves the Inbox once it is sent, as it does for any thank-you the donor is sent after the gift.
  • Log donation asks Given on, today unless you change it, so a December check entered in February is dated December. Editing a gift can change its day too, and a day after today is refused.
  • Canceling a shift now tells everybody still signed up for it, with a notice and an email saying when it was and that they are not expected.
  • Send and close answers a conversation in the Inbox and closes it in one press, and replying to a conversation nobody has taken makes it yours.
  • A hub's pages are listed under it in the sidebar instead of across the top of every page, so the tabs over a record are only ever the record's own. One hub is open at a time: pressing another closes the last one.
  • Mail and Calls are under Inbox now, beside Tasks, Submissions and Documents, and the Messages hub is gone. The first page of Inbox is called Waiting, which is what it lists. Every old address still opens.
  • Quick add now asks what Guided intake asks about an arrival: who brought it and why they gave it up, where a stray was found, which rescue a transfer came from. Guided intake can record a litter: Save, and record a littermate keeps what they share.
  • Press an email address on a person, an adoption, a foster home, a donor, a form submission, a lost or found report or a transport booking, and a new message to them opens in a panel beside the page, sent from your rescue inbox.
  • Press a phone number on a person, a foster home, a lost or found report, a clinic day or a transport booking and RescueConsole asks Call this number? first, then places the call from the rescue number. Without the rescue phone it opens your own.
  • An adoption contract signed on paper can carry its scan: Attach the signed contract under Signed on paper files it with the adopter documents, named for the animal, before or after the adoption is finalized.

Bug fixes

  • A person's phone is now always kept with its country code, your organization's when none is typed, and a North American number must be ten digits. Numbers saved before were given your code where they read right. The rest are under People, Phone, Needs fixing.
  • Adding an animal no longer fails when the next pet ID is already held by another animal, such as an imported one: that number is skipped. On the demo the first animal a visitor added was refused this way.
  • A page could say you do not have access to something your role allows, such as Auctions, until you signed out and in. A sign-in is now checked again when you come back to the tab and before a page refuses you.
