Booking transport from a rescue's website reads like booking anything else: a button, a name in its pieces, a running total, and a place for each animal and its paperwork.

Feature requests

  • Two merge fields for a message to a household or about a litter: {{people}} and {{animals}} list every one of them, one to a line, and become a bullet list when placed on a line of their own.
  • A workflow that runs on applications can say which kind it is for (adoption, foster, volunteer), so each kind gets its own steps and an application of another kind is left alone.
  • A registry flag carries an address, typed for a person or for an animal (where it is kept, or was seen) and checked before it goes on. You see the whole address on a flag you filed; other rescues see the city, state and country, and can find the flag by the address.

Enhancements

  • Booking transport from a rescue's website: Book space is a button; a guest gives their name in the pieces a person record has and joins People when accepted; the total follows the crates and services as they are chosen; each crate has a place for the animal riding in it.
  • Booking transport from a rescue's website: the paperwork for the animal in each crate (vaccination records, a health certificate) can be attached with the booking, and the rescue reads it there.
  • The help site reads in US English, as the product does.
  • The front page of rescueconsole.com says less: one sentence a section, with the screenshots doing the talking, and the features page as the long form.
  • Adjust crop on a photo is simpler: click where the animal is and save. The zoom buttons are gone, because Crop or turn is how a photo is cut closer.
  • Fundraising opens Campaigns: each campaign with its status, what it raised and its goal. Donations is listed under it with Donors, and each page has a button to the other.
  • Searching the registry by address checks the address first and searches the checked spelling, so 123 Main finds a flag filed as 123 Main St.
  • A transport run published on your website is titled by its name, shows the address and the time at each end, and Book space looks like the button it is.
  • Booking transport from your website: the species, breed and color of each animal are offered from your own settings when you keep those lists.
  • The demo rescue has something on every page: medical records, weights and kennels; applications at every stage, adoptions and fosters; booked shifts; tasks, conversations, forms and a workflow under way; partners, transport runs, a wish list, documents and each record's history.

Bug fixes

  • The demo sends no email at all. A reply or a new conversation in its inbox, a form confirmation, a transport booking notice and the notification emails are kept in the demo and never delivered, as its sign-in page always said.
  • A closed account that had foster homes is now purged at the end of its 90 days. The foster homes were never deleted, and the rows they left stopped the purge.
  • When a closed account is purged, the animals, priced lines and paperwork on its transport bookings go with the bookings, including files a guest uploaded.
  • An adopter, a foster or a donor who signs in now gets My portal: their own applications and adoptions, the animals in their care, or their own gifts. They could open the rescue's records before, every application and every gift included.
  • The calendar and reports ask for their records the way every other page does, so each person sees only what their role allows.
  • Your public site writes event times and auction closing days in your own time zone. It wrote them in UTC, so an evening event in California showed as the next morning.
