A task can be given to somebody, and the list says who has it.

Feature requests

  • A task can be assigned to someone as you write it or afterwards, and the Tasks page has an Assigned to column showing who has each one. The name was never sent to the screen before, only an internal reference, so no page could show it.

Enhancements

  • Home size is asked in square feet: under 1,000, 1,000 to 2,000, 2,000 to 3,000, over 3,000. Small, Medium and Large mean different things at two rescues, and the ranges do not. Forms already published serve the ranges too.

Bug fixes

  • A yes or no question on a public form offers both answers. It was drawn as a single tick box, so "Fenced yard" offered Yes and nothing else, and an untouched box meant both "no" and "nobody asked".
  • An adoption form asks adoption questions. Forms offered every built-in question the person record holds, so an application to adopt asked about foster capacity, foster species and previous foster experience, and asked them as required.
  • The forms you have already published stopped asking them too, not only the next one you build. One live adoption form went from 29 questions to 14 without losing a single one an adopter should answer.
  • An address typed on a form reaches the person's record. It was kept on the submission and never written to the address fields, so the form showed it and the record had none.
  • A question your record layout hides is hidden on your forms as well, including one you have moved into a section of the record such as Housing. Switching it off did nothing to the form before.

Your animals' photos reach Adopt-a-Pet, a merge keeps every record it touches, and a file you export is a file you can import.

Feature requests

  • Transports take animals from the run itself, a run can be deleted, and the list goes past fifty. A completed run cannot be deleted: it is the record of a journey that happened, with the volunteers who drove each leg, so cancel it instead.

Enhancements

  • An animals import carries health, spay/neuter status, the outcome date and whether the animal is public. An import still publishes nothing unless you map that column, and the check tells you how many animals it would put on your site before you import.
  • An import says when it could not read a date instead of leaving the field empty in silence, and a date that falls back to today uses your organization's own day rather than UTC.
  • What you write in About this animal reaches Adopt-a-Pet with its formatting: headings, bold, italic, lists, quotes and links. Underline and strikethrough arrive as plain words, which is their limit rather than ours.
  • The header is four things instead of eleven: what's new, notifications, a Help menu holding help and feedback, and My account holding your account, the theme and Log out.

Bug fixes

  • Photos now reach Adopt-a-Pet. Their importer fetches pictures in a way our security settings were turning away, so a listing showed their placeholder while every other field arrived correctly, and nothing in either log said so.
  • Merging two people moves everything the record was attached to: adoptions, applications, placements, contracts, the foster home, volunteer bookings and tasks. Donations and the communications log were all it moved before, so merging a duplicate adopter kept the gifts and lost the adoption.
  • A donations export can be imported again. It wrote internal references where the import asks for the donor's email and the campaign's name, so every row was refused, and a file that got past that recorded every gift a second time.
  • An adoption fee survives an export and an import. A $150 fee written as 15000 cents came back as $15,000, because the column was read as dollars and the import had chosen it for you.

The figures tell the truth, a day is your own day, and the settings the screens call Configure ask for it.

Feature requests

  • About this animal is written in a proper editor: headings, bold, italic, lists and links. The cage card, your public page, your Adopt-a-Pet listing and the export all keep reading it as words, so nothing that used it changes.

Enhancements

  • Age groups, application stages, the medical lists, who may read a mailbox and the address your mail goes out from all take Configure on the server as well as on the screen, and the communications log is Configure too.
  • A custom date or number field can be filtered by range on every list that offers it. The boxes were shown and then refused as an unknown field.
  • Your Adopt-a-Pet listing can carry a link back to the animal's page on your own site, with words you choose. Off until you turn it on, under the integration's settings.

Bug fixes

  • A deleted gift now leaves every figure it was in: the campaign it was against, and the donor's lifetime giving, gift count and last gift. It already left the donations list, which is how the two came to disagree.
  • A deleted animal leaves the reports, the medical due list and a status's usage count. A status held only by deleted animals could not be removed, and said how many animals held it when nobody could find one.
  • Medical due lists what is due for animals still in your care. An animal that went home took its next booster with it onto your overdue list.
  • The Animals list's Available figure counts your animals that are in care and shown on your public site. It read a status nobody has, so it said 0 for every rescue on the built-in statuses.
  • A day is your own day, not UTC, in the places it was not yet: a gift logged in the evening, an arrival recorded from the record, what the medical due page calls overdue, and the times in the activity feed.
  • A shift opens at the hour you typed. The form sent the time as UTC, so a 9:00 shift read as another hour to everybody looking at it.
  • Typing your current password wrongly says so, instead of quietly renewing your session and sometimes signing you out.
  • Wording that had gone stale: how many built-in statuses and roles there are, where a setting lives, what a person writing to you actually sees as your reply address, and which list an empty page is speaking for.
  • A recurring medical record written down as already done now comes due again. "Rabies, given today, repeats yearly" carried the interval, looked scheduled and produced nothing, so the booster was never asked for.
  • Refusals that answered with a server error now say what is wrong: an adoption cleared of its date, a person given an unknown status, an animal's age or hours-alone answers out of range, and an intake moved off a return while it still names an adoption.
  • The webhook delivery log says which attempt each row was. Every row said 1, including the fourth try at an endpoint that had been down all morning.
