Where an application came from, a second phone number for a team, the Shelter Animals Count file counted from the record of status changes, a Spanish sample that speaks Spanish, and whole phone numbers on the demo.

Feature requests

  • Phone and text: Add a number, under Numbers, buys a second local number for a team or a purpose, such as a lost and found line. Its calls come to the main menu until you give it a menu of its own, and its texts arrive in the inbox.
  • Adoption sources are now Application sources: every application, adoption, foster or volunteer, can say where it came from, a public form can give every application it makes one, and an adoption inherits its application’s. Reports gain a Source column on Applications.
  • National reporting: RescueConsole now records when an animal’s status changes. From the first full month after today, the Shelter Animals Count file counts the animals in care and in foster at each end of the month from that record; only an earlier month asks for a typed count.
  • Litters have a page now: every animal in one, the ones gone home included, its birthday and notes, animals added or taken out, and the litter named on each member’s record. Select animals on the list and choose Make a litter.
  • Each animal now keeps where it has been: every kennel, room or foster home it moved through and for how long, on its record, and a kennel’s page lists who has stayed in it. The record of stays begins today.
  • Each animal can carry a YouTube or Vimeo video, shown on its page on your public site. Adopt-a-Pet can take the YouTube ones too: turn on Send videos under the integration, and their import log will say whether they took it.
  • Record what the rescue spends, against an animal or the rescue itself: a vet bill, food, boarding, supplies, with its receipt. Each animal shows its cost of care, Costs lists a month by kind, and reports gain a Costs dataset.
  • Draft a bio from the record: About this animal writes one from what a listing could say (never medical records or internal notes), keeping your words, for you to read, change and use. Nothing is saved until you do, and nothing leaves Cloudflare.
  • Daily rounds: start a round and it visits every place an animal is housed, in the board's order. Tick each stop seen, fed, cleaned or meds given, add a note or photo, and sign it off when every place is done. A place can carry a quarantine or hold, shown on the board.

Bug fixes

  • The demo rescue’s people, partners and locations now carry whole ten-digit phone numbers with their area code, as a text or a call needs, rather than seven digits.
  • Play a sample with a Spanish voice and nothing typed now reads a Spanish sentence rather than the English one, on your mobile and from the browser phone alike; the sample box says the default follows the voice.

A copy of your RescueGroups data waits out their server's errors.

Feature requests

  • A copy of your RescueGroups data now fetches the files you keep on animals and contacts too, and downloads as zips: every spreadsheet in one, and the files in zips of about 2 GB, in folders by animal and person.
  • A copy of your RescueGroups data is now kept until you delete it, rather than deleted once your imports have come in from it, so its zips stay there to download.

Enhancements

  • The Sending page now says that Addresses not emailed lists only the addresses of your own people, which no other rescue sees, and that link clicks are approximate, since security tools open links as mail arrives.
  • The Someone with me box on a shift sign-up now says who it offers: people a coordinator has linked to your record, people you have shared a sign-up with, and people at your address, with a coordinator to ask for anybody else.

Bug fixes

  • A copy of your RescueGroups data now waits out a server error at RescueGroups and tries again on the next run, rather than leaving that kind of record half copied. A copy stopped that way carries on by itself from where it stopped.
  • Every page now opens at its top when you reach it from a link or a button, so Settings no longer opens scrolled to wherever the last page was with the Add button above everything already in place. Back and Forward keep their place.

More of your RescueGroups data comes in, and people can be marked Do not adopt.

Feature requests

  • People now have a Do not adopt mark: your rescue's own, shown on the person and on any application they are on, never added to the Public Registry. From RescueGroups, every contact group comes in as a tag on the person, and their Do Not Adopt group gives the mark.
  • Medical records now have a cost, shown on the record and added up as the animal's medical costs, in the Medical tab and in reports. A cost can be given when a record is added, marked done or edited. From RescueGroups, each journal entry's cost comes in as its record's.
  • Adoptions now record where they came from, such as a partner adoption center or an event, from a list you keep under Settings, for partner and grant reports. From RescueGroups, each adoption's lead comes in as its source.
  • People can now be kept out of marketing mail alone: Marketing mail (Mailchimp) on their communication preferences, which still lets workflow emails and adoption paperwork through. From RescueGroups, a contact with Send mail set to No comes in with it off.
  • Files kept on animals and contacts in RescueGroups now come in as documents on the animal or the person, fetched a few at a time through the RescueGroups site with the integration's login. Deleted files are left out.
  • Organization admins can now download all of their RescueGroups data from the integration's settings: a copy taken in the background, one spreadsheet for each kind of record, kept until they say they have finished with it.
  • Once a copy of your RescueGroups data is taken, the imports read it rather than asking RescueGroups again, the field list shows how full each field is and with what, the tables list the statuses and groups your records use, and the copy is deleted once everything you bring in has come in.

Bug fixes

  • Events from RescueGroups now come in at their venue, with its name and address, and the places they are held come in once under Settings, Locations, not public until you say so.

RescueGroups: submitted forms come in, adopted animals name their adopter, and contact groups give roles.

Feature requests

  • Every form sent in RescueGroups comes in as a submission with all its answers, on a copy of the form it was sent on: volunteer forms, intake requests and contracts as well as applications. Adoption and foster forms are joined to their applications. The copies are a record and cannot be published.
  • Adoptions now come in from RescueGroups, finalized or reversed as they were recorded there and joined to the application they came from. They were paid for there, so nothing is owed on them here, no follow-up workflow starts for them, and RescueConsole does not bill them.

Bug fixes

  • Submitted forms from RescueGroups now come in as adoption and foster applications. Every run of them had failed, because the integration asked RescueGroups for each form's date under a name RescueGroups does not use, and RescueGroups refuses the whole request.
  • An animal adopted out in RescueGroups now comes in with its adopter as the person it went to. The integration had listed each adopter as the person who surrendered the animal; the next run takes those back.
  • People brought in from RescueGroups now get their roles from the contact groups they are in there: Adopter, Volunteer, Donor and Caretaker/Foster by default, and any group your table names. Until now nobody came in with a role.
  • Records an integration brings in no longer start your workflows. An imported application, applicant, decision or foster placement happened somewhere else, often long ago, so its checklists and emails stay quiet. Workflows still start for everything done here.
  • Submitted forms from RescueGroups that were adopted, canceled, expired or denied there now come in closed rather than open, and contracts, agreements and waivers are no longer taken for applications. Their form statuses has its own table in the integration's settings.
  • A large RescueGroups history now comes in whole. Each run takes one kind of record, people first, then animals, then the rest, so an application's applicant and an animal's foster are found rather than made twice, and no run takes on more than it can finish.
  • Animals from RescueGroups that were transferred, reclaimed, released, lost, stolen or passed away now come in with that outcome instead of in care. One with no received date takes the day it was added in RescueGroups as its intake date, and its condition becomes its health status.
  • Journal entries from RescueGroups whose type names a drug or product now come in by their category, so one under Medications is a medication and one under Flea/Tick/Deworm a preventative. Microchip entries are procedures, and Weight entries become weights on the animal, read from what was typed.
  • Animals, people and applications brought in from RescueGroups or from a spreadsheet no longer start workflows set to begin a number of days after a record is added. What they record happened before they came in.
