Receipts state what came back, and leave the deduction to the donor.

Feature requests

  • Fosters can ask for supplies from their portal: what they need, how much and by when, for an animal with them. It reaches your Inbox under Requests from fosters, where Answer sends your reply to their portal and by email. They can withdraw a request you have not answered.
  • Fosters can ask for a vet visit from their portal, saying what is wrong and how soon. In your Inbox, Book takes the day and time, adds the visit to the animal's medical record, and shows it on the foster's portal and in an email. An urgent request is listed first.
  • Fosters have a Quick log on their portal: a note, a photo they can crop, turn and set the focus of before it goes to you, a weight, and a task for your list. Each goes on the animal's record marked From the foster, and photos still wait for your approval.
  • Volunteers can check in and out of a shift from My shifts, from an hour before it starts. Checking in marks them as turned up, checking out fills in the hours for a coordinator to sign off, and Today has an On site now card. The roster shows the times.
  • During a shift, My shifts lists the animals where the shift is, each with a Quick log: a note, a photo, a weight or a task. The kennel page now opens only for animals where the volunteer's shift is, when the shift has a place set. Staff see what volunteers log marked From a volunteer.
  • Each volunteer role can have a list of duties, set under Settings, Volunteer roles: a dog walk, food or water replenished, litter scooped, a kennel sanitized. Volunteers tick what they did on My shifts, naming the dogs or kennels; it shows on the roster and on each animal's day.
  • Record what an animal eats, drinks and puts out, by weight or on a simple scale, from its Quick log, a foster's portal or a volunteer's shift. The Medical tab graphs each against the animal's own usual and warns when it eats or drinks less than half of it.

Enhancements

  • Receipts, year statements and auction pages no longer say how much is tax deductible. They state what was given and, where you recorded one, the value of any goods or services received, which is what a donor's accountant works it out from. Enter 0 on a gift to say nothing was given in return.

Bug fixes

  • Mailchimp's and monday.com's settings no longer show Adopt-a-Pet's Sending the listing card, which said your animals would go to them with photos and offered a button that could never be pressed.
  • The trail at the top of the page names the auction, organization, animal, integration, donor or campaign you are looking at. Six pages showed a long record number there instead.
  • The registry dispute form now sends its confirmation link only to the email address the listing already holds, never to one typed into the form, so nobody can use it to learn whether somebody else is listed. The link confirms by a button on our site, not by being opened.
  • The public demo rescue can no longer reach a real one: answering a surrender request there with a real microchip in it no longer tells the rescue that adopted the animal out, and its live chat cannot be switched on.
  • A team member who is removed, or moved to a portal role, loses their phone extension at once: it no longer rings, calls out or signs the browser phone in. Calls out now have a daily cap and a list of allowed calling codes under Phone and text, starting from the rescue's own country.
  • The foster portal answers a change to the foster's home, or a due item marked done, with only what the foster's own page shows; the rescue's private notes on the home and the medical record's own fields stay with the rescue.
  • The contact form takes five messages an hour from one source, a chat transcript is emailed only once the rescue has replied, the microchip lookup is checked by Turnstile like every other public form, and a receipt, a payment link or a foster's request cannot be pressed without limit.
  • A volunteer can check out of a shift until four hours after it ends. After that the shift is closed at the time it ended, with no more than its length as the hours, for a coordinator to correct and sign off, so a check-out forgotten for days no longer offers days of hours.
  • A call to a person's own number is now in the call log and their history like a call to the main number, with who answered and when it ended, so the missed-call text and a 911 callback see it. A call handed on while it is recorded says so again, to the caller and to the mobile that answers.
  • Reports on transports now count their bookings and what they paid, and the transport bookings report has its rows. A saved report is changed only by whoever saved it or an organization admin, a timeline pages through many applications without skipping, and a schedule lists recipients by name only.
  • The export of one rescue's records that a platform admin can take, the backup, no longer carries password hashes, second-factor secrets, sign-in and form tokens or API key hashes. Nothing a rescue needs back is in them.
  • A visitor's transport booking that was never confirmed is cleared away after its week on every transport, with the paperwork it carried, and the paperwork waiting on one transport is capped. Voicemails are kept for a year unless an admin sets Keep voicemails for, then deleted like recordings.
  • A paid booking on a transport now counts the asks still waiting, as the page does, so a cleared card cannot fill a van past its space. A surrender request taken by a rescue that has since closed stays taken. A partnership invitation rings the bell wherever the invitee's rescue is kept.
  • The chat bots answer /rescue shifts to a volunteer with their own shifts only, as the roster does; a Discord request older than five minutes is refused; and a document emailed in is trusted only on the receiving server's own verdict.
  • A rescue's move to new storage is stepped by one hand at a time, and its email and sync wait while it moves, as its pages do. The shared-address mail notice runs for the hour it was queued in, however late the queue. A record two workflows pass back and forth stops after twelve runs in an hour.
  • A long pantry search no longer fails; an organization's website and a wish-list link must be web addresses; Adopt-a-Pet's FTP server must be one of theirs; the API's own workers.dev address answers reads only; and canceling a signing link mid-signature cancels it.

A disputed listing can be found by its address.

Enhancements

  • Somebody disputing a registry listing can give their home address, checked before it is sent, so a listing your rescue filed from an address alone reaches you. It matches however the state or ZIP code is written, never the house next door, and they still learn nothing about whether they are listed.
  • Applications have a new built-in stage, Review complete, between Pending third party and Meet scheduled: the checks are done and the meet is being arranged. It sits after your own Pending third party, and a stage of that name you already made is left as it is.
  • Contracts can list every animal going home: the new animals_table merge field draws each with its species, ID, microchip and fee, and on an adoption record the animal fields name the animals adopted together. A template using signer_name no longer reads as broken before a name is typed.
  • Volunteers keep their hours: My shifts has a History between two dates to download or print as a statement with the rescue's name, each shift's place and who signed it off. A shift they came on as a companion now counts as theirs, and Recently shows the newest.
  • Coordinators can link the people a volunteer brings on the volunteer's record, a companion or their guardian, and Sign up then offers them. A coordinator can also sign somebody else up, and add somebody to a sign-up already made or take them off; ages and approvals are checked every time.
  • Adopters can open each adoption from My portal: the animal's profile, the vaccines, procedures, tests and medications done for it, the contract as it was signed, and the receipt, each printable on its own. Staff notes and costs are never shown.
  • Donors see every gift on My portal by the day it was given, in their own time zone and without deleted gifts, and print a receipt for each gift and a statement for each year with the rescue's legal name, tax ID and receipt wording. Running campaigns link to their pages.
  • Fosters see the notes they wrote and the ones shared with them on My portal, and the animal's photos. They add photos the rescue approves before anything public shows them, mark due care done, and record a medication or a vet visit, each marked for staff to check.
  • Fosters set their own spots and what their home takes on My portal, now with sizes, ages and sex, and the days they are away: the home pauses and comes back by itself. The foster board says which homes each animal fits, and Today shows foster spots open.
  • Rescues choose what fosters may do on My portal: see profiles, add photos, add medical, edit their home and see applications. A foster can read the applications for an animal in their care and recommend yes, maybe or no, and a daily email tells fosters and medical staff what care is due.
  • Settings → Public page starts with one choice: animals on your own site, our hosted site, or a full website on EmDash. The cards that do not apply hide, and the hosted home, adopt list and pages show only on the hosted choice; forms, payments, signing and events stay up under all three.
  • The feedback board says Built on what has shipped, with the line from What's new that shipped it. Running a pet food pantry, its limits, and its Shelter Animals Count figures, built on October 6, now say so and have left the public roadmap.
  • New status page at rescueconsole.com/status: every 15 minutes we sign in to the demo rescue, send a form, open a giving page and sign an adopter in to their portal, and the page shows what passed. When two checks in a row fail, we are emailed straight away.

Bug fixes

  • Reports draws one change at a time. A report asked to draw again before it had finished could lose its chart and show every field as bars instead.
  • Today says when a shift still short of volunteers starts in your own time, such as Sat, Oct 17, 8:00 AM, rather than as a machine timestamp, and counts its wait from when it was opened.
  • Messages fits a laptop screen: an open conversation no longer runs off the right edge, and its buttons wrap onto a second line rather than squeezing their labels.
